The Old Dominion Pony of the Americas Club (ODPOAC) is the Virginia and North Carolina branch of the national POA club. The only youth-only breed in the United States, POAs are versatile, athletic, sweet-tempered, Appaloosa-colored ponies. At ODPOAC shows, children can begin riding as soon as their parents are willing to let them sit on a pony's back and can enter leadline equitation, costume, and game classes. Once they want to ride without a leader, they can enter 8-and-under classes, which include western, English, jumping, cart, and games. Older age divisions (9-12 and 13-18) allow children and ponies to continue growing and learning together. Come join us at a show this year!
